Building Contracts

A building contract ensures that both the builder and the purchaser agree about the terms of the build. By setting down the details in a note, and by signing it before the notary, you ensure that you both in agreement before work begins.

**** Contract to Build a Palace

1) This is a contract for the design and construction of a palace. It will be built by the Stonemason for the Princess.

2) The palace will meet these criteria:

    -- use no more than 1000 prims
    -- occupy approx. 2000m2 of land
    -- be located in the NW corner of the lot Somsim 64,128
    -- contain a great hall fit for entertaining visiting royalty
    -- contain one turret room with restricted access
    -- contain an inner courtyard with a pond, but ABSOLUTELY NO FROGS
    -- be lavish in texturing and detail as befits a princess

3) The palace shall be ready two weeks from date of signing. The Stonemason will be available for minor adjustments for at least two weeks from date of delivery. Stonemason will ensure that all palace prims and objects are owned by Princess at delivery.

4) The palace may include textures or objects that are no-mod, and/or no-copy, but everything must be transferrable, should the Princess decide to move on later and sell it. The palace shall be a one-of-a-kind. Stonemason must not create or sell duplicates or substantially similar builds.

5) Princess will pay the Stonemason the handsome fee of L$25,000 and a kiss for the work.

6) Both parties agree that should a dispute concerning this matter arise, we will enter into mediation using the services and procedures of the SL Mediators group.
