As it has come to pass that the Brotherhood of the Black Crumpet has degenerated into bickering and general accusations of dishonor,

And that despite repeated intervention by friends nothing has improved the situation,

And that all the brothers wish to move beyond silly acts of prim graffiti, and get on with their second lives,

And finally, since none of the brothers can bear the thought of the commonly held property, Black-Crust Castle being dismantled, divided, disbanded or otherwise dissed,

It is hereby resolved to have a:

**** Settlement by Duel

The Brothers of the Black Crumpet shall have a duel for all title in the effects, property, builds and good name of the Brotherhood.

The duel shall take place at high-noon, the first Sunday following the signing of this agreement.

Damsel Indistress shall be coordinator and referee. Each brother must assign a envoy to interact with Damsel on all aspects of the duel. Damsel may consult with the envoys, but her word is final.

Damsel shall pick a site and shall announce it to the members no more than 15 minutes before the duel.

At the time of the duel, the brothers shall commence fighting. Any and all weapons may be used but:

  * Duelists must remain standing and cannot sit or fly
  * Duelists must not harm anyone other than active duelists

A Duelist loses immediately if they leave the sim (being forced to or otherwise), or if they break any of the rules of the duel.

The last duelist left wins the Brotherhood.

Damsel Indistress shall also serve as escrow. All title to Black-Crust Castle, the grounds and the land, shall be turned over to her before the duel and she shall award it all to the winner. For her troubles, Damsel wants only the silver tea urn that stood in the great hall, and shall keep it as a memento.
